WMTD Care Matters Green Paper consultation events
Between Nov 2006 and Jan 2007, WMTD held four regional consultation events following the release of the Care Matters Green Paper. The events were held in London, Newcastle, Manchester and Exeter. They were attended by 339 young people, from over 90 local authorities, accompanied by 426 professionals. Click here to read the summary report.
Alliance for Child Centred Care 

The Alliance for Child Centred Care held its first conference on 31st May 2007. The conference brought together contributions from young people, Government, local authorities and voluntary organisations to promote more child and young people focused services for children in care and care leavers. Regional Partnerships ... Positive Pathways
NLCAS and the regional leaving care forums in Yorkshire & Humber and the North East jointly organised a conference in York on Thursday 10th May 2007.

The purpose of the conference was to promote the work that has been carried out by the regional forums in partnership with NLCAS in the last three years. Products and initiatives seeking to improve outcomes in education, training and employment, housing, pathway planning and consultation have been developed.
