Guide to Good Corporate Parenting
This is a comprehensive guide to good corporate parenting developed as a part of the WMTD project.
It includes booklets and a film to help local authorities become better corporate parents. The work is based on the perspectives of children and young people who have been in care. The guide covers:
- What young people say about being ‘parented’ in care.
- What young people say about good parenting, within a framework of children’s development and parenting needs.
- What young people say makes a difference – using case studies of young people’s experiences in care and examples of good practice by local authorities towards achieving the Every Child Matters outcomes for children and young people in care.
